Ledron

Paul Ledron is a furniture designer based in Abidjan. He explores and reinterprets his cultural heritage in a modern way, emphasizing local materials and the Ivorian artisanal tradition. Paul Ledron is a young designer who grew up in Côte d’Ivoire. His Martiniquais, Malian, and German heritage situates him at the crossroads of three major continents. After completing his secondary education in Côte d’Ivoire, Paul obtained a Bachelor's degree in industrial design from Brunel University, London, in 2017. He then joined Makerversity, a multidisciplinary workshop at the London School of Architecture (LSA), where he created his first pieces. Following a Master’s degree in branding from New Bulgarian University in Sofia in 2021, Paul Ledron returned to Côte d’Ivoire. Shortly after his return, he participated in the first edition of the Young Designers’ Workshop, an atelier organized by designer Jean-Servais Somian, after which he exhibited at the Donwahi Foundation. In October 2023, still guided by Jean-Servais Somian, Paul Ledron exhibited at the Parisian gallery 110 Véronique Rieffel during Paris Design Week, alongside other Ivorian designers. In December of the same year, he was awarded the prize for young creator at the luxury trades forum in Abidjan. In 2024, Paul was selected to participate in the Dakar Biennale, marking a major turning point in his career. He was also honored to be named among Forbes Africa's Top 30 Under 30, celebrating his commitment to the West African cultural and entrepreneurial ecosystem. With a creative approach that combines modernity and artisanal expertise, Paul Ledron continues to unveil his talents and pursue his path.
