The Founders

Born in France to a Martiniquais father and a Mauritian mother, Shirley has journeyed across continents and cultures. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in International Business in Australia, she chose Toronto as her base in 2009.

After spending a few years in the jewelry and accessories industry, she later redirected her passion toward interior design, shaping her own aesthetic universe within Kah Studio Interior, founded in 2018.

Her journey is inseparable from the influence of her mother, a seamstress, who guided her from childhood through the stalls of Burgundy flea markets and textile workshops, awakening in her a deep sensitivity to design. Beyond forms and materials, her mother imparted essential reflections on the human condition and each person’s place on this planet.

Passionate about design, she holds a particular admiration for thinkers who breathe life into each creation. For Shirley, beauty is a universal language that enriches our humanity; a world devoid of this aesthetic would be an affront to our very essence.
